In The Works, Producers Reveal Harry Potter' Documentary

In The Works, Producers Reveal Harry Potter' Documentary. Fear not, "Potter" fans! Though the film franchise comes to a close in July with the release of "Deathly Hallows, Part 2," there will be plenty more opportunities to revisit the work of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and their cohorts.

Producers David Heyman and David Baron revealed to MTV News that Morgan Matthews, an award-winning British filmmaker, shot a documentary on the set of "Deathly Hallows" that will be coming out after the final installment of the franchise itself. "He went behind the scenes and had incredible access to talent and crew and has made a documentary that is not yet complete, which shows the challenges of making the film — the tolls it takes on actors and crew," Baron said. "It's not just pure gloss and everybody's happy. It's real. ... At the same time, it's really, really funny."

Baron went on to describe one such scene in the unfinished doc. "Morgan comes in to interview Dan in his dressing room, and Dan says, 'Will you wait one second? I want to watch the 2:50 at Doncaster,' which is a horse race. He says, 'Yeah, I bet on it.' 'How much?' 'Ten quid.' And the horse, of course, comes in way behind the pack."

In addition to the documentary, Heyman and Baron said fans can also expect, down the line, to check out behind-the-scenes footage stretching back to 2001's "Sorcerer's Stone."

"It was a very well-documented production. We had a crew filming behind the scenes for the entire production, which is unheard of and that's been for all the films," Baron explained. "There is material, and we'll see how it's used. I'm sure Warner Bros. will package it in some form or another."

Late Rocker Getting Biopic Jeff Buckley Movie

Late Rocker Getting Biopic Jeff Buckley Movie. A new film is set to tackle the tragically short, enigmatic life of singer/songwriter Jeff Buckley. Hallelujah.

Deadline reports that Jake Scott, music video director and helmer of the hit "Welcome to the Rileys," has signed on to direct the Buckley biopic, with the mid-90's rocker's song rights purchased as part of an all-encompassing package.

Buckley, a barnstorming and session musician in the early 90's, released the seminal album "Grace" in 1994. A quiet man who shunned celebrity, he spent two years touring in support of the beloved record, before beginning the recording of what was to be his next album, "My Sweetheart The Drunk."

It was never released as Buckley envisioned; in 1997, while re-recording tracks for the album, Buckley drowned after going for a swim in Wolf River of Tennessee.

Subsequently, the recordings that did exist were released under the name "Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk." He's perhaps best known for his cover of the Leonard Cohen song, "Hallelujah."

Real Men Don't Buy Girls' Campaign Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore Launch

Real Men Don't Buy Girls' Campaign Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore Launch. The Demi and Ashton Foundation (DNA), founded by Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, launches its "Real Men Don't Buy Girls" interactive video campaign this week, aiming to educate the public about child sex slavery in the United States.

Kutcher became interested in the issue after stumbling across a "Dateline" feature on sex trafficking in Cambodia. He was astounded by what he saw.

"I was watching six and seven-year-old girls being raped for profit," Kutcher says. "I said to myself: I don't want to live in a world where these things are happening and I'm not doing anything about them."

Moore and Kutcher began researching the issue further, and discovered that, in the United States alone, between 100,000 and 300,000 girls are enslaved and sold for sex, while upwards of a million girls are prostituted worldwide. The entire industry generates $39 billion annually.

"The average age of a girl involved in the sex trade is 13," Kutcher says. "And the average man who buys a girl is 30-years-old, has no prior criminal record, and has a well-paying job."

Kutcher explains that the "Real Men Don't Buy Girls Campaign" contains a message he hopes people are willing to pass around; one that specifically addresses the male psyche, while also being entertaining and informative.

"Once someone goes on record saying they are or aren't going to do something, they tend to be a bit more accountable," says Kutcher. "We wanted to make something akin to a pledge: 'real men don't buy girls, and I am a real man.'"

5 things you can learn from Jay-Z's career

Advertisements

5 things you can learn from Jay-Z's career. I recently came across Zack O'Malley Greenburg's book "Empire State of Mind: How Jay-Z Went from Street Corner to Corner Office." I have to admit that I didn't know if a hip-hop icon had much to teach me (aka a regular worker) about succeeding in our respective fields.

But seeing as career books often begin to sound alike when you read the summaries on the flap, I couldn't pass up this interesting angle. Plus, he's just a good artist.

I didn't doubt Jay-Z was a prime example of success. His picture might as well be next to the Wikipedia entry on "living the dream."

Whether or not you're a fan of his music -- and between "Empire State of Mind" and "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)," you have to like at least one of his tracks -- you can't deny that the man has been able to achieve and exceed his goals.

Jay-Z (née Shawn Corey Carter) has countless hits, co-founded Rocawear clothing, co-owns a basketball team, and was an executive of two different record labels. Oh, and Oprah picked his 2010 autobiography to be one of her favorite things, which is about as coveted an endorsement as you can hope for.

But after reading Greenburg's book, I have to admit I understand why he makes a superb guide for your career, even if you are looking to be an investment banker or grocery store manager instead of a hip hop legend.

If you look at what Jay-Z has done with his career, you might realize that what made him successful is what makes many great leaders successful.

Below are five lessons that I think we can all learn from Jay-Z's career:

1. Find something your passionate about and make it part of your life

What Jay Z did: Jay-Z is a sports enthusiast. He's a proud Yankees fan and he's been a courtside fixture at NBA games for years for The Cavaliers, Knicks and Lakers.

Not content with just being a fan, Jay-Z assembled a team (that included Lebron James) in 2003 to play in Entertainers Basketball Classic (EBC) and then became a co-owner of the New Jersey Nets.

What you can do: Many of us are sports fans, but few of us have the bank account and business savvy to own an NBA team. However, we can find a way to make one of our passions part of our everyday life, even if your interest doesn't fit within your current job.

For example, if you are obsessed with politics but you work at a clothing store, you should leave your opinion of Congress at home. But that doesn't mean you can't start your own political blog or become a contributor to another one.

That way you can immerse yourself in a subject you love and still improve your analytical and writing skills. You never know what will become of your side venture -- maybe a new business opportunity.

Maybe nothing will happen beyond gaining readership, but at least you'll have space where you can indulge your passions.

2. Market yourself

What Jay-Z did: One of the other reasons Jay-Z decided to assemble that basketball team in the EBC? He knew it was great marketing. He branded a bus with the image of a sneaker he designed for Reebok, had the team tour in it, all while his music blared.

And then they'd celebrate at the club he owned in New York. It was his project from top to bottom and he wasn't afraid to promote it.

What you can do: The odds are slim that somebody will walk up to you and say, "Wow, all that great work you do? Unbelievable! Let me offer you this high-paying job that is perfect for you."

Instead, make sure you let your boss know when you perform well. Don't brag, but forward any positive feedback you get from clients or colleagues

If you're looking for a job, piece together an impressive portfolio or résumé. Think about the awards you've won, leadership positions you've held, and references who will speak glowingly about you.

Don't play meek when it comes to finding a new job because employers don't have time to beg you to talk about yourself. Impress them from the beginning. (And if you can afford to plaster your face on the side of a bus, go ahead.)

3. Know when to move on

What Jay-Z did: In 2003, at the peak of his career (up to that point), he decided to retire. Barely 34, Jay-Z felt he couldn't top himself, so he decided to walk away. (That said, he un-retired a few years later, which is something we have criticized before, too. So don't cry "wolf" either.")

What you can do: Jay-Z retired, but most of us don't have that luxury right now. However, if you're just going through the motions and the excitement and passion you once had are lacking, then don't be afraid to look around.

Maybe you need to talk to your boss, find a new job or get into a new industry. Whatever is right for you, make that move. If you're spending 40 hours each week doing a job that bores you, then you're wasting a lot of your life.

You'll be so much happier and more productive if you're interested in what you do.

4. Be willing to shake things up

What Jay-Z did: When Jay-Z took over Def Jam records in 2005, he couldn't believe that the business model hadn't changed for decades, and employees had no incentive to work hard. He wanted to see people trying new things -- taking risks and competing to be more innovative than the other.

So he held a retreat with the employees, told them what he wanted, and then began to transform the organization. Greenburg notes how people were intrigued by the fact that Jay-Z wanted to learn as much as he could about the business.

What you can do: When you're not the boss, you can't revamp the organization. But workers can get the attention of the boss and other leadership by coming forward with new ideas.

If you're the person interacting with customers every day, you know when the process can be improved and what would make your job more efficient and maybe bring the company more money.

Always be respectful, but don't be afraid to be bold once in a while. It can be the only way you stand out sometimes.

5. Manage your private life

What Jay-Z did: Jay-Z and Beyoncé are basically music royalty, and when they began quietly dating, everybody wanted to know about it. Yet, they wouldn't comment on their romance, and even to this day the married couple is tight-lipped about any personal information.

Therefore you hear more about his and her music than about their personal lives, unlike some famous people.

What you can do: You don't need to keep your marriage a secret from your manager, unless you want to, but your weekend partying or marital bickering don't belong at work.

Often, professionals decide to post Facebook photos of their drunken adventures or get into a big fight with a spouse over the phone so that the entire office hears. Suddenly your personal drama overshadows your hard work.

Remember that your professional reputation is a significant factor in promotions, raises and even layoffs. Don't let a killer keg stand undo your years of hard work.

Of course, there are a lot of other things Jay-Z's done right in his career, so I suggest checking out "Empire State of Mind." It's especially refreshing if you're a music fan and/or someone who's not keen on the typical career guides.

Not keen on Brooding Label Robert Pattison

Not keen on Brooding Label Robert Pattison. ROBERT Pattinson hates being labelled as “brooding”.

The hunky Twilight star can’t understand why people think he’s mean and moody.

“I never got that ‘brooding’ thing,” Pattinson said.

“I’ve had about enough of that.

“I guess I used to be weirder.

“When you’re confronted with yourself too much you start to think, ‘Jesus Christ, you’re so f**king boring’.

“I talk about myself too much now.”

Rob, 24, recently revealed he wants to beat up a paparazzo.

“You know, when the whole thing dries up and there’s hardly any paparazzi around I don’t know, in 15 years or something I like the idea of just one paparazzo coming out and trying to get a picture, and I just beat the s**t out of him,” he said.

“I mean — out of nowhere — when my picture’s not even worth anything … and I’ve spent all my money, so you can’t sue me!

“A bunch of paparazzi were following me, and I thought the best way to deal with it was to stop my car in the middle of the street and say, ‘I’m not leaving, and I’m not going to speak to you anymore.’

“They got all p***ed off because they can’t just keep taking the same picture. We were in Venice by the boardwalk, and they kept trying to get all these drug dealers to come up to the car. I was just like, ‘Oh my God, this is insane.

NEVE Campbell Star of Scream 4 Blast Hollywood

NEVE Campbell Star of Scream 4 Blast Hollywood. NEVE Campbell has blasted Hollywood for making so many sequels.

The actress who recently reprized her Scream role of Sidney Prescott for the fourth time feels “sad” about the lack of originality in the film industry, which she accuses of ignoring “great” stories.

“Then we’re going back to versions of movies that were only out a short while ago,” she said.

“There are sequels and all theses prequels to all the sequels. It’s a terrible situation, it truly is. It makes me sad because there are so many great stories out there waiting to be told.”

Neve also claimed Hollywood is even impacting on the world of books, as commissioning editors are only interested in the potential movie rights than can be generated by a novel.

“Every single comic, every single book is made into a film,” she said. “Do you know an author pitching a book nowadays is asked to consider whether there’s a possibility of making a film from it? So films are even limiting the kinds of books we’ll be able to read.”

While Neve is unhappy about sequels, she defended creator Kevin Williamson’s decision to make Scream 4.

“What’s Scream 4 in the grand scheme of things? We made the last one, like, 12 years ago, c’mon!” she said.

“I felt we’d done such a good trilogy we shouldn’t push our luck. Then Kevin pitched me his idea and I thought, ‘This could actually be really great.’ I knew it would be fun to see everyone again.”

Vegan Diet No Longer Suits Pregnant Natalie Portman

Vegan Diet No Longer Suits Pregnant Natalie Portman. PREGNANT Natalie Portman has changed her diet!

Sources say the Black Swan actress — who’s expecting her first child — realized that continuing to live free of all animal products no longer suited her, Us Weekly reports.

“I actually went back to being vegetarian when I became pregnant, just because I felt like I wanted that stuff. I was listening to my body to have eggs and dairy and that sort of stuff,” Portman said.

Natalie adopted a vegan diet after reading Jonathan Safran Foer’s book, Eating Animals.

“If you’re not eating eggs, then you can’t have cookies or cake from regular bakeries, which can become a problem when that’s all you want to eat,” she said.

“I actually wanted eggs at the beginning and then they grossed me out after awhile.

“I know there are people who do stay vegan,” she added, “but I think you have to just be careful, watch your iron levels and your B12 levels and supplement those if there are things you might be low in in your diet.

Not Even Allow Pia Toscano to Release CD

Not Even Allow Pia Toscano to Release CD. Just days after getting voted off 'American Idol' in shocking fashion, songstress Pia Toscano reportedly snapped up a record deal with Interscope Records, but sources tell me nothing has been signed as management looks into whether 19 Entertainment will allow her to release anything at all.

"When you compete on 'Idol,' you must sign one of the strictest contracts in the business," a former 'AI' contestant tells me. "Not only does 'Idol' own you for the entire show and live tour that follows, it also controls everything you can do professionally for a long period after that."

That means that 19 Entertainment has first crack at every artist.

Pia's rep told E! News over the weekend that all the talk about a done deal is "all rumor," but it's completely true that Interscope has big plans for the Queens native, if only they can get their hands on her.

As previously reported, Interscope is already calling every top songwriter and producer to get an album together and rush-release it before the end of the season, but none of this matters unless 'Idol' allows her to do it.

"No way do the producers want a contestant who was kicked off having a hit record when the winner hasn't even been announced yet," another 'Idol' insider tells me. "The first hit song has always been from the winner and this year will be no different."

If you start having singers who were voted off charting before the show has wrapped, then the entire process loses credibility, my source contends.

"This is about protecting the brand, not about protecting Pia," the insider says. "She can record as many songs as she wants, but 'Idol' will refuse to allow them to be released for now until the show is over.

Jenn Sterger Brett Favre Scandal Sexy photos and Video

Jenn Sterger Brett Favre Scandal Sexy photos and Video. Now former New York Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger's back in the news, having finished a taping of an interview with ABC News and Good Morning America's (GMA)George Stephanopoulos (who this blogger still thinks of as an aide to President Clinton), that's set to air Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

If you don't know the story of Jenn Sterger, one that was presented in ever-so-sleezy fashion by the blog Deadspin, private-part images and all, this safe-to-watch Zennie62 video is a good recap.

Not sure what the purpose of Jenn Sterger's appearance on GMA is, and this blogger wonders if she made money from the interview. Jenn says she's made nothing from the matter: "I haven't made a dime off anything in this whole situation. Not from the pictures. Not from Favre. I never wanted to sue anyone. That was never an intention of mine."

IIn fact, Jenn was an unwitting pawn in the entire sex scandal story. Someone, not her (and just who did is still not known) sent the photos and voicemail to Deadspin, or so Deadspin claims.

Brett Favre did admit that he called Jenn Sterger, but says he never sent images or text. Frankly, there are few who really turn their life upside down, wanting to know if those photos were of him or not. But what is clear, is that Favre's wife has to be wondering what the hell's wrong with Brett.

Did he get a case of John Edwards Fever?

Edwards fooled around on the now-late Elizabeth Edwards while she was battling cancer. While Brett didn't actively do anything with Jenn Sterger, it's clear he tried to, and paid $50,000 in a fine imposed by the NFL for his lack of cooperation in the Sterger investigation.

But that was in 2007; let's hope Brett's just chilling at home.

Meanwhile, Jenn's news isn't creating a lot of buzz. It's only registering as "Spicy" on Google Trends, and its the number one search as of this writing.
