Jane Russell a Lives

Jane Russell a Lives. Buxom beauty Jane Russell died Monday morning at her youngest son’s home in Santa Maria, California, according to the Los Angeles Times. She was 89.

Jane Russell is best known for her role in Howard Hughes’ 1943 film The Outlaw. The famous publicity photos taken for the film depict Russell in tight-fitting clothing, sitting on a hay stack in a sexually inviting manner. The photo and her role in the film sent Hollywood censors reeling. Hughes ultimately triumphed, though, and the photo became the pin-up for many displaced WWII soldiers.

It was ultimately Russell’s bounteous bosom that catapulted her into Hollywood stardom and which American wartime soldiers named two Korean hills. All of which amused Russell, a conservative at heart, and which came through onscreen and added to her irresistible charm but also made her a victim of Hollywood typecasting.

Jane Russell is survived by three children, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Indianapolis House of Democrats 2011. Indianapolis,Indiana House Democrats may have fled the state in protest of a so-called right to work bill and other GOP-backed bills in the Legislature, a Democratic Party source told 6News.

Sources gave conflicting information about the whereabouts of Indiana Democrats, who didn't show up to begin the day in the House on Tuesday morning, effectively stopping business in that legislative chamber.

It was obvious from all the empty seats on the Democratic side of the chamber that the House did not have the two-thirds quorum needed to conduct business. But the rules required a vote anyway.
